Codevall - Terms of Service
By ordering any Codevall service you agree to these terms.
1. Payment
All services are paid in advance, monthly or annually as selected at checkout, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is taken from the card on your account on the renewal date.
2. Late or failed payment
If a payment fails or an invoice is left unpaid:
- We will remind you by email on the due date, and again after 3 and 7 days.
- After 14 days unpaid, your services (website, email and any related services) will be suspended until the balance is paid.
- After 28 days unpaid, your services will be cancelled and all associated data, including website files, databases and email, will be permanently deleted. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
It is your responsibility to keep your payment details up to date.
3. Minimum terms
DIY Website, Managed WordPress, Website & Email Hosting and Care Plans are monthly rolling unless paid annually. The Website Plan has a 12-month term and we will remind you before it ends. Growth and Pro Plans have a 12-month minimum term. SEO & AI Visibility plans and the Fresh Content and Reviews & Links add-ons have a 3-month minimum term. The SEO & AI Visibility Audit and the upfront Website Build are one-off payments.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your control panel or by emailing info@codevall.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period (or the end of any minimum term). No refunds are given for partial periods. Please download any files or email you want to keep before your service ends.
5. Website ownership
Website Plan: once you have made 12 monthly payments, the website we built for you (its design, content and the licence to use our theme on that site) is yours. You can stay on our Managed WordPress Hosting or move it elsewhere. If you cancel before then, you can pay the remaining months to own it; otherwise the site files stay with us, though your own content and your domain are always yours.
Upfront Website Build: the website is yours once the build has been paid for.
Growth and Pro Plans: the website design and content remain licensed to you while your plan is active and paid. If you would like to own the site outright or move it elsewhere, a buy-out fee applies; please ask for a quote.
6. Acceptable use
Services must not be used for anything illegal, spam, malware or content that infringes others' rights. We may suspend services that put our systems or other customers at risk.
7. Backups and liability
We take reasonable care to keep your services secure and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important content. Our liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the previous 3 months.
8. Domain names
Domain names registered through us are registered in your name (or your business's name) and belong to you. Domains renew annually; if a renewal is not paid the domain may lapse and could be registered by someone else.
9. Changes
We may update these terms or our prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.
